About The Position

This position is responsible for learning how to maintain sharp tools to perform their job tasks correctly. The role involves making precision cuts to carcasses and separating meat from bone to achieve desired carcass yield. The operator will be responsible for operating a powered tool to perform job tasks. Average training time may require 2-3 months. The team member must adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. Responsibilities include setting up the area with all needed equipment, monitoring the production area for trash and food debris on the floor, and performing various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent. Requirements

  • Must have been in current position 6 months, for lateral or demotion.
  • Must have less than 4 points - no written warnings in the past 6 mths and no suspensions in the last 12 months
  • Must be willing and able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds.
  • Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods up to 12 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a wet environment.
  • Must be willing and able to complete cycles in less than 10 seconds.

Nice To Haves

  • May occasionally be required to lift/carry up to 50lbs.

  • Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
