This position is responsible for learning how to maintain sharp tools to perform their job task correctly. The role involves making precision cuts to open the hide on the right side, remove the hide from the rump, and skin the sides of the sow to achieve desired carcass yield. The team member will operate a powered tool to perform the job task. Average training time may require 2-3 months. The role also requires adherence to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. Responsibilities include setting up the area with all needed equipment, monitoring the production area for trash and food debris on the floor, and performing various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent. This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
