About The Position

This role is responsible for setting up equipment in preparation for startup and operating a Split Saw. The position involves preparing the work area with all necessary equipment and operating powered tools to complete job tasks. A key responsibility includes performing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to safely shut down machinery. The training period for this role may last 2-3 months. The job requires the ability to work with and around machinery and chemicals. Additionally, the role involves monitoring the production area for cleanliness, removing trash and food debris from the floor, and performing other tasks as assigned by leadership. Cleaning the work area at the end of each shift is also a requirement, including sweeping and spraying work areas. The position demands the ability to stand, stoop, walk, climb, and lift for 8-hour periods on a concrete floor. It also requires working in temperatures of 35 degrees Fahrenheit or less for a minimum of 8 hours.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months.
  • Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture or production experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up equipment in preparation for startup and operate a Split Saw.
  • Set up area with all needed equipment and operate a powered tool to perform job tasks.
  • Perform LOTO procedure as stated in LOTO training to lock out machine.
  • Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead Person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
  • Clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
  • Perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours.
