About The Position

This role involves operating a Split Saw and setting up equipment in preparation for startup. The position requires the ability to perform LOTO procedures, work with machinery and chemicals, and maintain a clean production area. The job also entails monitoring the production area for debris and performing various assigned tasks. The role requires physical stamina for extended periods of standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting on a concrete floor, and the ability to work in cold temperatures.

Requirements

Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months.
Ability to perform LOTO procedure as stated in LOTO training to lock out machine.
Willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Willing and able to perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
Willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

At least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture or production experience.

Responsibilities

Set up equipment in preparation for startup and operate Split Saw.
Set up area with all needed equipment and operate a powered tool to perform job tasks.
Perform LOTO procedure as stated in LOTO training to lock out machine.
Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor.
Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead Person, Supervisor or Superintendent.
Clean up area at end of production shift, including sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
Work on and around machinery and chemicals.
Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Perform tasks for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
Work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours.
