About The Position

A leading food manufacturing company in Portland, TN is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals for a 1st Shift Tree Rack Operator position. This role is responsible for hanging, loading, and moving meat products onto smokehouse trees and racks in preparation for processing. Candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and food safety standards.

Requirements

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive arm movements.
Ability to work in refrigerated and production environments.
Comfortable handling raw food products.

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or food production experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Hang and position meat products onto smokehouse trees, racks, or processing equipment according to production requirements.
Ensure products are properly spaced and loaded to meet quality specifications.
Move loaded racks throughout the production area using carts or other material handling equipment.
Inspect products for quality concerns and notify supervisors of any issues.
Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Adhere to all food safety, USDA, HACCP, GMP, and company quality standards.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Assist with additional production duties as assigned.
