About The Position

A leading food manufacturing company in Portland, TN is seeking dependable and motivated individuals for a 1st Shift Pumping Operator position. This role is responsible for injecting and pumping meat products with curing solutions and marinades according to production specifications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining strict quality and food safety standards.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Basic math skills for verifying production specifications and yields.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to work in refrigerated and food manufacturing environments.
• Comfortable handling raw food products and processing equipment.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing, food production, machine operation, or processing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate pumping and injection equipment used to process meat products.
• Load products into pumping machines and monitor production flow.
• Verify proper pump percentages and product yields according to specifications.
• Inspect products throughout the process to ensure quality standards are met.
• Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas as required.
• Adhere to all food safety, USDA, HACCP, GMP, and company quality standards.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Assist with additional production duties as assigned.
