About The Position

A leading food manufacturing company in Portland, TN is seeking dependable and motivated Packaging Associates to join its production team. This position is responsible for packaging finished food products, ensuring product quality, and preparing items for shipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, packaging, or food production experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
Ability to work in refrigerated and production environments.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Package finished products according to company specifications and customer requirements.
Inspect products and packaging for quality, accuracy, and appearance.
Apply labels, stickers, and date codes as required.
Assemble boxes, cartons, and packaging materials.
Weigh and verify product quantities before packaging.
Stack, organize, and prepare finished goods for shipping and storage.
Maintain production goals while ensuring quality standards are met.
Follow all food safety, USDA, HACCP, GMP, and company procedures.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
Report product quality concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to supervisors.
Assist with other production and packaging duties as assigned.
