About The Position

AWARE is seeking a Treatment Service Specialist to provide direct services to children with special needs in school settings. The role supports children’s personal growth and success at school and at home through a wrap-around approach and collaboration with families, teachers, school personnel, and the treatment team. The position is full-time in Helena, Montana, with a starting pay range of $21.00–$26.08 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or HSE, along with past employment experience.
Computer literacy, including the ability to navigate and record information using performance-based software and an electronic medical records system.
Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to work as a team member, make and accurately report observations, learn resident care methods, and follow oral and written instructions.
Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Montana driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record.
Must pass an acceptable criminal and protective services background check.

Nice To Haves

A BS/BA degree in a human services-related field is preferred; equivalency may be based on documented work history, education, and volunteer experience.

Responsibilities

Provide direct services to children with special needs in the school setting.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school personnel to develop and implement individualized plans.
Communicate behavioral and emotional observations to the treatment team and participate in team-building meetings and activities.
Use a wrap-around approach to support the child’s success in both school and home settings.
Assist youth in developing coping, social and recreational, independent living, mediation and conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
