About The Position
The Treatment Nurse works at Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake, Ohio, and may be an RN or LPN. The role provides treatment-related nursing care to residents, including assessing skin condition, monitoring changes in resident health, administering physician-ordered treatments, and documenting care. Sprenger Health Care operates senior living communities and services in Ohio and South Carolina, including nursing homes, assisted and independent living, memory care, hospice, home care, respite care, and short-term post-acute rehabilitation. Requirements
- Be a licensed nurse; the role is open to an RN or LPN.
Responsibilities
- Obtain report and implement appropriate follow-up action as necessary in relation to residents’ treatment needs.
- Conduct assigned resident rounds to assess and report each resident’s skin condition and take necessary follow-up action.
- Instruct nursing assistants in proper preventive safety measures and use of adaptive equipment to meet residents’ needs.
- Assess and report changes in residents’ conditions to the physician, nursing supervisor, and responsible party, and take follow-up action as necessary.
- Administer treatments according to physician orders, accurately record treatments performed, and maintain weekly progress notes.
