About The Position
NHC HealthCare Anniston in Anniston, Alabama is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide high-quality nursing care and support positive outcomes for patients and residents. The role involves working with physician orders, individualized care plans, nursing standards, and the applicable scope of practice. The schedule is negotiable, and pay depends on experience. Eligible RN and LPN hires may qualify for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, subject to NHC guidelines and center-specific requirements. Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alabama, or a current multistate/compact license that permits practice in Alabama.
- Graduate of an approved nursing education program appropriate to RN or LPN licensure.
- Current CPR certification as required.
- Strong clinical skills, communication abilities, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary care teams.
Nice To Haves
- Long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, individualized care plans, established nursing standards, and applicable scope-of-practice requirements.
- Assess and monitor patients and residents, recognizing and reporting changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the applicable nursing scope of practice.
- Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Communicate changes in condition to physicians, nursing leadership, and appropriate members of the care team.
- Supervise, direct, or support nursing assistants and other assigned nursing staff as appropriate to licensure and job responsibilities.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote quality care and positive patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, NHC policies, and professional nursing standards.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and compassionate care environment.
