About The Position

Wells Fargo’s Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL) team is an integrated product organization providing payments, data, liquidity, and associated lending solutions. As the team advances its Payments transformation, the Treasury Management Consulting Director will lead a team supporting the Industrials portfolio. The role reports to the Head of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) for Global Payments & Liquidity. The director will manage and develop a Treasury Management Consulting team, lead strategic payment transformation initiatives, and guide the team toward financial and business objectives. The position includes responsibility for strategic decisions, process improvement, risk controls, policy and procedure development, stakeholder engagement, resource allocation, and talent development. The position offers a hybrid work schedule and requires travel 50% of the time. It is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Eligible employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Requirements

10+ years of Treasury Management Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
4+ years of management or leadership experience.
Extensive payments experience and a clear understanding of industry trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs.
Ability to consistently identify, measure, and control risk so that it remains within the Company’s risk appetite.
Proactive and transparent approach to regulatory engagements and interactions.
Ability to attract strong talent and develop and retain a high-performing team.
Demonstrated knowledge of working capital management solutions, capital markets, and the extension of credit.
Proven people leadership skills and ability to build a high-performing sales organization.
Proven experience managing and governing risk.
Ability to operate in a highly matrixed and global environment with multiple and senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build productive relationships across stakeholders.
Results-oriented approach, using critical thinking, data analysis, and innovation techniques.
Ability to travel 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

Manage and develop a Treasury Management Consulting team of individual contributors and managers supporting the Industrials portfolio.
Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development within Treasury Management Consulting.
Make strategic decisions to meet higher-risk deliverables.
Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate to higher complexity and risk within the scope of responsibility.
Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners, and peers associated with the function or affected by its outcomes.
Collaborate with and influence professionals at all levels, including senior leadership, and interact directly with external customers.
Manage the allocation of people and financial resources to meet commitments and align with strategic objectives.
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
Provide the team with a structured and clear vision, leadership, and direction to meet financial goals.
Lead teams and clients through strategic payment transformation initiatives driven by emerging technologies and evolving industry standards.
Identify, measure, and control risk within the Company’s risk appetite.
