About The Position

Gentle Dental is hiring a full-time Traveling Treatment Coordinator focused on orthodontics. Treatment Coordinators guide patients through the full cycle from clinical diagnosis to treatment acceptance, communicating financial plans and available options based on proposed treatment. The position is scheduled four days per week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and pays $23.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience. Work is associated with Gentle Dental offices in Milpitas, Brentwood, Hayward, and Sunnyvale, California.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of front-office experience in a medical environment.
• 1 year of orthodontic experience.
• Computer literacy.

Nice To Haves

• QSI experience.
• Previous experience presenting treatment plans and reviewing service costs.
• Bilingual ability.
• Consultative sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Discuss treatment options, establish treatment schedules, and prepare financial arrangements with patients.
• Monitor patient progress to ensure completion of dental treatment plans.
• Report patient status to the attending doctor.
• Enter and track patient treatment plans in the computer system.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance plans, manuals, exclusions, and limitations.
• Submit acceptance forms and predeterminations to third-party benefit providers, and notify patients of status and financial responsibilities.
