About The Position
The Full-Time Traveling Orthodontic Dental Assistant provides clinical support to facilitate relationships between patients and dentists, improve the efficiency of quality dental care, and maintain communication among dentists, patients, and administrative staff to support a positive patient experience. The Specialty team travels among multiple locations. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel are required, and mileage reimbursement is provided. This role travels to Bloomfield, Enfield, Groton, New Haven, Newington, and Southbury.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to travel between locations.
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Strong verbal skills.
- Possess required certifications, licensure, or registration as required by the state.
- Embrace a positive team approach to patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Dental Assistant (C.D.A.) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
- Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures.
- Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures.
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
- Prepare, break down, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
- Maintain strict compliance with infection control, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements.
- Maintain dental supply inventory.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned.
