About The Position
The orthodontic team is seeking a motivated Orthodontic Assistant to work in a fun, efficient, patient-centered environment. The role involves chairside assistance during orthodontic treatment, patient education, treatment-planning support, and helping maintain clinic flow. The assistant will work closely with the doctor, front-office staff, and a tight-knit team, and travel between offices in Decatur, Cumming, and Norcross as needed. Flexibility and reliability are important, including occasional weekend hours and staying late when needed.
Requirements
- Previous orthodontic assisting experience.
- X-ray certification.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Enjoy working with patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance for orthodontic procedures, including bonding, debonding, archwires, and appliance adjustments.
- Take impressions, digital scans, and X-rays.
- Educate patients and parents about appliance care, hygiene, and treatment expectations.
- Support treatment planning, track appliance progress, and assist the doctor and front-office staff.
- Prepare and clean treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and support clinic flow.
- Travel between office locations in Decatur, Cumming, and Norcross when needed.
- Be reliable and flexible, including arriving early and staying late when needed.
