Traveling Oral Surgery Dental Assistant - Part Time
About The Position
Great Expressions Dental Centers is seeking an energetic and motivated Dental Assistant to support patient care at its Boynton Beach and Coral Springs locations in Florida. This part-time position is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and requires travel between the locations. Mileage reimbursement is provided. The Dental Assistant will assist the dental team and dentists with patient care and procedures, prepare and maintain treatment rooms, educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, perform basic dental procedures under a licensed dentist’s guidance, and help manage appointments and patient records. Florida applicants must meet the stated requirements, including EFDA certification and formal training to expose X-rays, including an FDOH Permit to expose X-rays.
Requirements
- For Florida applicants: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification.
- For Florida applicants: proof of formal training to expose X-rays, including an FDOH Permit to expose X-rays.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves
- Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education; the employer is willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities
- Assist the dental team in providing patient care.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Support dentists during procedures by anticipating their needs and helping ensure a smooth workflow.
- Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records.
- Travel between the Boynton Beach and Coral Springs locations.
