Traveling Oral Surgery Dental Assistant - Part Time
About The Position
Great Expressions Dental Centers is seeking an energetic and motivated Dental Assistant to support patient oral health in a fast-paced dental practice. This part-time role is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and requires travel between the Boynton Beach and Coral Springs – Atlantic Blvd locations. Mileage reimbursement is provided. The Dental Assistant supports the dental team and dentists in delivering patient care, preparing and maintaining treatment rooms, educating patients, assisting during procedures, performing basic dental procedures under a licensed dentist’s guidance, and managing appointments and patient records. Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but the employer is willing to train the right candidate. State-specific requirements apply. For Florida, applicants must have Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays, including an FDOH Permit to expose X-rays. Responsibilities
- Assist the experienced dental team in providing patient care.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Support dentists during procedures by anticipating their needs and ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records.
