About The Position

Cranial Technologies is seeking a Nationwide Traveling Occupational Therapist based out of Chicago, IL. This is a full-time position where you will practice in various Cranial Technologies locations across the United States. The role is in a pediatric clinical outpatient setting, working exclusively with infants. This unique opportunity allows you to treat patients in child-friendly, state-of-the-art clinics. You will travel to any state where Cranial Technologies has a clinic, with travel typically occurring Monday afternoons/evenings and clinic work Tuesday-Friday, returning home Friday afternoons/evenings. Assignments are provided 2+ weeks in advance. The company covers travel expenses and provides a per diem. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced and new settings, potentially working in a different clinic each week and meeting new families and teammates.

Requirements

Licensed OT
500 hours of basic orthotic fitting experience with off-the-shelf orthotic devices (e.g., splints, braces, maternity belts)
State-issued REAL ID compliant license or equivalent TSA accepted travel documentation required by start date
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Ability to travel every week, either to a local clinic or to another state.
Proximity to a major airport for ease of travel booking.

Nice To Haves

Background in pediatrics is preferred.
Experience with symmetry and asymmetry, cervical anatomy, torticollis, and infant/toddler development.
Experience in hands-on patient care and compassion for families.
Capability to treat the whole patient.
Hands-on experience with orthotics and direct patient care.

Responsibilities

Treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band® and correct ear shapes with EarWell®.
Serve as an expert in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and conditions involving misshapen ears.
Develop strong relationships with families throughout the treatment process.
Take over caseloads from other clinicians, meeting new families regularly.
Travel to various Cranial Technologies clinic locations across the United States.
