About The Position

ABM is seeking a dependable and skilled Traveling Floor Cleaner to perform floor care and general cleaning duties at multiple work sites. The role supports clean, safe, and well-presented facilities for employees, clients, and visitors. It involves travel 70% to 90% of the time, Monday through Friday, to sites in various states. Duties include carpet cleaning, floor maintenance, restroom sanitation, dusting, pressure washing, and equipment upkeep. The work is performed in person on an 8-hour shift.

This may be a suitable role for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Travel 70% to 90% of the time, Monday through Friday, and willingness to travel to different work sites across multiple states.
• Driver's license required.
• Floor care experience is listed as preferred, with one year specified.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
