About The Position

Team MJV, a building service contractor operating throughout Indiana and Michigan, is hiring a Traveling Floor Technician. The role involves traveling between job sites to clean and maintain floors, carpets, and hard surfaces while preserving a safe environment in accordance with Team MJV guidelines and current OSHA standards and regulations. The technician performs general cleaning duties, improves the overall appearance of job sites, uses appropriate equipment and chemicals, and performs operational maintenance on cleaning equipment. The position is physically demanding, requires irregular hours, and involves regular travel. Team MJV provides coaching and training; prior floor-technician experience is preferred in the job requirements, but no experience is preferred in the overview. The position reports to the Special Projects Coordinator. Three openings are listed.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience as a floor technician or in a related field.
• Working knowledge of basic floor-care duties and responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of the proper use and application of floor-care products and equipment.
• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and push or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to work irregular hours and travel regularly.
