About The Position

HHS is seeking a friendly, compassionate, team-oriented Traveling Floor Technician based out of Bon Secours Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. The position provides floor care at hospital sites throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. The technician helps maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable hospital environment where patients can heal, while following HHS cleaning procedures and providing kind service to everyone in the hospital. Reliable transportation is required. Day, evening, and night shifts are available. The role pays $23 per hour and is full-time. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of U.S. employment eligibility. Some healthcare facilities require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption.

Requirements

Must be at least 17 years old.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to sites throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements, including continuous standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching; frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of furniture and equipment weighing 25–100 lb.; and continuous pushing and pulling of carts or equipment weighing over 100 lb. on tile and carpeted floors.
Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants.
Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential job functions.
Must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping experience, including cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, room attendant work, floor care, hotel operations, or healthcare.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors.
Perform floor stripping and extraction projects as assigned.
Travel to assigned hospital sites throughout the Greater Cincinnati area as scheduled.
Follow HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
