About The Position

HHS is hiring a Traveling Floor Technician based at Bon Secours St Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. The role provides floor care at hospital sites throughout Northern Ohio, creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to assigned sites. Full-time positions are available, with day, evening, and night shifts available. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States. Many healthcare facilities require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption. HHS is a private, family-owned business founded in 1975 that provides housekeeping, food, and facility management services to nearly 1,000 customers across six industries.

Requirements

Must be at least 17 years old.
Reliable transportation is required.
Must be able to travel to sites throughout Northern Ohio.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.
Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
Must frequently push, pull, and lift furniture and equipment weighing 25–100 pounds.
Must continuously push and pull carts or equipment weighing over 100 pounds on tile and carpeted floors.
Must handle chemicals, including bleach, wax, and disinfectants.
Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping experience, including cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, room attendant work, floor care, hotel operations, or healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors.
Perform floor stripping and extraction projects as assigned.
Travel to assigned hospital sites throughout Northern Ohio as scheduled.
Follow HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
Provide friendly and kind service to everyone in the hospital.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
