About The Position

The Traveling Floor Technician provides floor care and cleaning services in a hospital environment, based out of Bon Secours Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and traveling to hospital sites throughout the Greater Cincinnati area. The role helps create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal, while providing friendly and kind service to everyone in the hospital. Full-time positions are available, with day, evening, and night shifts offered. Reliable transportation is required. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.

Requirements

Must be at least 17 years old.
Reliable transportation is required.
Must be able to travel to sites throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.
Must communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.
Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
Must frequently push, pull, and lift furniture and equipment weighing 25–100 lb.
Must continuously push and pull carts or equipment weighing over 100 lb. on tile and carpeted floors throughout a shift.
Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants.
Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping experience, such as cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, room attendant work, floor care, hotel operations, or healthcare experience.
Veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning, buffing, and bonneting procedures to maintain floors.
Perform floor stripping and extraction projects as assigned.
Travel to assigned hospital sites throughout the Greater Cincinnati area as scheduled.
Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices.
Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
