Traveling Dentist – Nursing Home Care
About The Position
Aria Care Partners is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Dentist to provide onsite dental care to residents in skilled nursing facilities. The role involves visiting different communities daily, with locations typically 20 minutes to two hours away. Drive time and clinic time are compensated. The position is for two days per week, with scheduling flexibility, and offers competitive pay with a minimum daily guarantee. The dentist assesses residents’ dental health, addresses concerns, discusses treatment plans, performs limited procedures, and conducts oral cancer screenings. Clinical operations staff manage coordination, scheduling, and billing so clinicians can focus on patient care. Aria Care Partners provides onsite dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry care to long-term care and skilled nursing facilities across 25 states. Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ dental health and address dental concerns.
- Develop and discuss treatment plans to manage, improve, and treat dental and oral health issues.
- Perform simple procedures, including exams, fillings, extractions, and denture-related services.
- Order diagnostic measures such as X-rays.
- Apply agents such as silver diamine fluoride to arrest tooth decay.
- Conduct oral cancer screenings.
- Maintain accurate dental records.
- Communicate with facilities and families to ensure patients receive appropriate support for daily oral hygiene.
