Traveling Dentist – Nursing Home Care
About The Position
Aria Care Partners is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Dentist to provide onsite dental care to residents in skilled nursing facilities. The role involves traveling to different locations, typically 20 minutes to 2 hours away, and is offered one day per week with scheduling flexibility. All drive time and clinic time are compensated, with a competitive pay rate and minimum daily guarantee. The Dentist assesses residents’ dental health, addresses oral health concerns, develops and discusses treatment plans, performs limited procedures, and conducts oral cancer screenings. Clinical operations staff manage coordination, including scheduling and billing, so the Dentist can focus on patient care. Aria Care Partners provides onsite dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry services to long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. Its mission is to enrich residents’ quality of life with passion and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Assess dental health and address dental and oral health concerns.
- Develop and discuss treatment plans to manage, improve, and treat dental and oral health issues.
- Perform simple procedures, including examinations, fillings, extractions, and denture-related services.
- Order diagnostic measures, such as X-rays.
- Apply agents such as silver diamine fluoride to arrest tooth decay.
- Conduct oral cancer screenings.
- Maintain accurate dental records.
- Communicate with facilities and families to help ensure residents have appropriate support for daily oral hygiene.
