Traveling Dentist – Nursing Home Care
About The Position
Aria Care Partners is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Dentist to provide onsite dental care to residents in skilled nursing facilities. The dentist will travel to locations approximately 20 minutes to two hours away and will be compensated for both driving and clinic time. The position is for one day per week, with scheduling arranged around the dentist’s availability. New graduates and experienced dentists are welcome. Compensation includes competitive pay and a minimum daily guarantee. The dentist will assess residents’ dental health, address dental concerns, develop and discuss treatment plans, perform limited procedures, and conduct oral cancer screenings. Clinical operations staff manage coordination, including scheduling and billing, allowing the dentist to focus on patient care. Aria Care Partners provides onsite dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry services to long-term care and skilled nursing facilities, with a mission to enrich residents’ quality of life with passion and compassion.
Requirements
- Must be a dentist; the opportunity is open to new college graduates and experienced dentists.
- Ability to travel to care locations approximately 20 minutes to two hours away.
Responsibilities
- Develop treatment plans to manage, improve, and treat dental and oral health issues.
- Perform simple procedures, including exams, fillings, extractions, and denture-related services.
- Order diagnostic measures such as x-rays.
- Apply agents such as silver diamine fluoride to arrest tooth decay.
- Maintain accurate dental records.
- Communicate with facilities and families to help ensure patients receive appropriate support for daily oral hygiene.
- Assess dental health, address dental concerns, discuss treatment plans, and conduct oral cancer screenings.
- Travel to skilled nursing communities to provide onsite dental care.
