Traveling Dentist – Nursing Home Care
About The Position
Aria Care Partners is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Dentist to provide onsite dental care to residents in skilled nursing facilities. The role involves visiting different communities, with locations approximately 20 minutes to two hours away. All driving and clinic time is compensated. The dentist assesses dental health, addresses concerns, develops and discusses treatment plans, performs limited procedures, and conducts oral cancer screenings. The position is offered for two days per week, with scheduling that can work around the clinician’s availability. The clinical operations team handles coordination, including scheduling and billing, so the dentist can focus on patient care. Aria Care Partners provides onsite dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry services to long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. Its mission is to enrich residents’ quality of life with passion and compassion.
Responsibilities
- Develop treatment plans to manage, improve, and treat dental and oral health issues.
- Perform simple procedures, including exams, fillings, extractions, and denture-related services.
- Order diagnostic measures, such as X-rays.
- Apply agents such as silver diamine fluoride to arrest tooth decay.
- Maintain accurate dental records.
- Communicate with facilities and families to ensure patients have appropriate support for daily oral hygiene.
- Assess dental health, address dental concerns, discuss treatment plans, and conduct oral cancer screenings.
