About The Position

Aria Care Partners is seeking a Traveling Dental Assistant to support dental treatment in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. The assistant works with the dentist (DDS), clinical schedulers, and facility and nursing staff to provide care and help ensure facility needs are met. The role includes transporting, setting up, and taking down equipment and supplies; coordinating charts with nursing-home contacts; entering treatment notes at the time of care; maintaining equipment; managing supplies; and shipping and receiving denture cases from the lab.

The position covers a home market within a driving radius of up to two to three hours. Mileage reimbursement and partial paid drive time are provided, including paid time for driving that exceeds normal commute time. A portion of each workday is spent working from home.

Requirements

• Three to five years of clinical experience as a chairside dental assistant.
• Valid driver's license with no moving violations in the last five years.
• Willingness to travel within a three-hour radius.
• Own reliable transportation.
• X-ray certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DDS with patient treatment in long-term care facilities.
• Work with clinical schedulers and nursing staff to help ensure facility needs are met.
• Transport, set up, and take down equipment and supplies in the facility-designated workspace.
• Coordinate charts with contacts at nursing homes.
• Enter chart notes at the time of treatment.
• Clean and maintain dental equipment regularly.
• Track inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Ship and receive denture cases from the lab daily.
