About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, providing short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system. Travel Registered Nurses fill critical positions during unforeseen circumstances or extended leaves and may work in a variety of practice settings locally, regionally, or nationally. This Med/Surg Tele position is at St. Francis Hospital for a 13-week assignment, with a stated schedule of three 12-hour shifts and a night shift. The gross weekly rate is $2,772, and the start date is ASAP. The nurse may be required to float throughout the hospital, across multiple hospital locations, or across regions. The role calls for independent practice within the nurse’s license, knowledge, and experience; accountability for delegation and decisions; collaboration with stakeholders; and adaptability while managing competing priorities.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state or states of practice/employment.
Have at least 18 months of recent clinical experience in Med Surg, Tele, or PCU.
Obtain and maintain credentials required for the specialty area; BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assess, identify outcomes and solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate.
Practice independently and appropriately within the scope of the RN license, knowledge, and experience.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.
