Travel Registered Nurse, RN, Med Surg Tele

About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. FirstChoice Registered Nurses fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, including travel assignments in a variety of practice settings and local, regional, or nationwide locations. This part-time position is for a Med Surg Tele RN at MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center in Iowa. The assignment is 13 weeks, with a flexible start date, three 12-hour night shifts per week, and a gross weekly rate of $2,556. Travel and per diem opportunities are available through the program.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state or states of practice and employment.
Have at least 18 months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele, or PCU assignments.
Maintain credentials required for the specialty area; BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assess, identify outcomes and solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate.
Practice independently and appropriately within licensure, scope of knowledge, and experience.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.
