About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, providing short- and long-term assignments throughout its health system. This Travel Registered Nurse role serves in Med Surg Tele and may involve nationwide or regional opportunities. Nurses are expected to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations or regions. Assignments are 13 weeks, with a flexible start date, and are scheduled for three 12-hour day shifts per week at MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center in Iowa.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state or states of practice/employment.
At least 18 months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
Maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practice independently and appropriately within the limits of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.
