About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. FirstChoice RNs fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, with regional and nationwide opportunities. This assignment is at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Iowa and is for 13 weeks, with an ASAP start date. The schedule is three 12-hour evening shifts per week. The gross weekly rate is $2,484. The RN may be required to float throughout the hospital, multiple hospital locations, or regions. The role applies professional nursing practice, works independently within the limits of licensure and experience, and remains accountable for delegation, decisions, and outcomes. The nurse collaborates with stakeholders, contributes to quality improvement, adapts to additional responsibilities and new ideas, and manages competing priorities while embracing cultural differences.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
At least two years of recent clinical experience for Emergency Department and other listed specialties outside Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
Maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital, multiple hospital locations, and/or regions as qualified and willing.
Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practice independently and appropriately within the scope of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.
