About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health's mobile staffing solution. FirstChoice Registered Nurses fill short- and long-term assignments across the health system, including regional and nationwide opportunities. This Emergency Department assignment is at MercyOne DeWitt Medical Center in Iowa and is scheduled for 13 weeks, beginning ASAP. The position is part-time, with three 12-hour night shifts per week. The nurse may be required to float throughout the hospital, multiple hospital locations, or regions. The role follows professional nursing practice standards, works independently within the nurse's license and experience, remains accountable for delegation and clinical decisions, collaborates with stakeholders on quality improvement, and adapts to new responsibilities and competing priorities. FirstChoice offers travel healthcare professionals a choice of local-regional or national assignments and a variety of practice settings. The listed gross weekly rate for this assignment is $2,664.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state or states of practice or employment.
Have a minimum of two years of recent clinical experience for Emergency Department and other listed specialties besides Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
Obtain and maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.
