About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health's mobile staffing solution. Travel Registered Nurses fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, including opportunities across local regions or nationwide. This part-time ICU position is based at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Iowa and is a 13-week assignment with a flexible start date. The schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week. Gross weekly rate is $2,664. Nurses may be required to float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
• Have at least two years of recent clinical experience for Critical Care and other listed specialties outside Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
• Obtain and maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
• Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions.
• Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assess, identify outcomes and solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• Practice independently and appropriately within the scope of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
• Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
• Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.
