Travel Registered Nurse, RN, ICU
About The Position
FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, providing short- and long-term nursing assignments across the health system. This part-time travel Registered Nurse role is for the ICU specialty at MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Iowa. The position involves filling critical staffing needs and may include assignments across the hospital, multiple locations, or regions. The assignment is 13 weeks, with a flexible start date, working three 12-hour night shifts per week. Nationwide and regional opportunities are available, and travel may be local or national. The stated gross weekly rate is $2,664. FirstChoice nurses may experience a variety of practice settings and are expected to provide professional, accountable care within their license, knowledge, experience, and specialty credentials. The program offers a flexible schedule and learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
- Have at least two years of recent clinical experience for Critical Care and other listed specialties requiring that experience.
- Maintain the credentials required for the specialty area.
- Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
- Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assess, identify outcomes and solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate.
- Act independently and appropriately within the scope of licensure, knowledge, and experience in the practice area.
- Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
- Demonstrate agility and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities.
- Embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.
