About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. FirstChoice registered nurses fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, including regional and nationwide opportunities. Nurses may work in varied practice settings and are expected to float throughout a hospital, multiple hospital locations, or regions. This assignment is at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Iowa, is scheduled for 13 weeks, and is listed as starting ASAP. The schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
Have at least two years of recent clinical experience for Critical Care and other listed specialties outside Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
Have and maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials through the American Heart Association.

Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assess, identify outcomes and solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate.
Practice independently and appropriately within the limits of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
