About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, using registered nurses to fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system. This Labor & Delivery travel RN position offers regional and nationwide opportunities. The nurse may be required to float throughout the hospital, multiple hospital locations, or regions. The role applies professional nursing practice, works independently within the scope of licensure and experience, remains accountable for delegation and clinical decisions, collaborates on quality improvement, and adapts to new responsibilities and competing priorities. This assignment is at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s in Westerville, Ohio. It is scheduled for 13 weeks, starting ASAP, with three 12-hour night shifts per week. The stated gross weekly rate is $2,520.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
Have at least two years of recent clinical experience for Labor & Delivery and other listed specialties outside Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
Maintain credentials required for the specialty area.
Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
Apply standard elements of professional nursing practice, including assessment, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practice independently and appropriately within licensure, knowledge, and experience.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.
