About The Position

The Travel Registered Nurse, RN, Med Surg Tele position is part of FirstChoice, Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. FirstChoice nurses fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, including critical staffing needs resulting from unforeseen circumstances or extended leaves of absence. Nurses may work in a variety of practice settings and travel locally, regionally, or nationally. This assignment is at St Alphonsus Health System in Ontario, Oregon, starts ASAP, lasts 13 weeks, and is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week on nights. The gross weekly rate is $2,808.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
Have at least 18 months of recent clinical experience in Med Surg, Tele, or PCU.
Maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practice independently and appropriately within the scope of the RN license, knowledge, and experience.
Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
Demonstrate agility and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities.
Embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.
