About The Position

This is a 4-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Utilization Management in York, PA. The role is situated in a long-term care setting and involves assessing medical necessity, level of care, and appropriateness of services. Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Ability to work in a long-term care setting
Availability for a 4-week assignment starting 09/01/2026
Willingness to work a 5x8 daytime shift

LTC experience preferred
PCC experience preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct utilization management reviews to assess medical necessity, level of care, and appropriateness of services.
Review clinical documentation and care plans; coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the care team.
Determine discharge planning needs and assist with transitions to appropriate post-acute care when applicable.
Collaborate with care teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure adherence to regulatory and payer guidelines.
Document findings, decisions, and care coordination activities in the electronic health record according to policy.
Participate in quality improvement activities and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
