About The Position

This is a temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse Case Manager in Sitka, Alaska. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 10/12/2026, with guaranteed 40 hours per week on a 5x8 Days shift. The role is situated in an ambulatory, outpatient clinic setting within a hospital environment. The weekly pay ranges from $3,241 to $3,450. Please note that housing and transportation are not provided, and travelers must reside at least 100 miles from the facility.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or another U.S. state; must have an active Alaska license at time of submission.
  • Direct Hire must have applied for an Alaska nursing license before start date; agency staff must have an active Alaska license.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Case Management certification preferred.
  • Experience in ambulatory/outpatient nursing and care coordination; ability to work effectively in an outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders and policy; document in the electronic health record.
  • Monitor patient condition, recognize changes, and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation to the provider.
  • Provide patient and family education related to care, medications, and discharge needs; coordinate care with providers and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Facilitate referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services; document outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Maintain infection control practices, regulatory compliance, and participate in quality and performance improvement activities; may float to other departments as needed.
