Responsibilities

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines.
Performs ongoing assessment, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care; documents observations and responses.
Administers medications and monitors for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions.
Collaborates with physicians, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Maintains patient safety, adheres to infection control practices, and supports quality improvement initiatives.
