About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position for a Telemetry unit in a hospital setting in Kansas City, KS. Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license
• BLS certification
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• 1+ year(s) of Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
• Telemetry monitoring skills
• ECG interpretation skills
• Medication administration skills
• Patient safety knowledge
• Teamwork skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
• Weekend coverage (Fri–Sun required)
• Ability to float as needed
• Able to complete credentialing processes within required timelines

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult and select pediatric-adult patients on a telemetry unit, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status.
• Administer medications, interpret telemetry findings, and respond to arrhythmias per protocol.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans; document in the electronic health record.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality standards; perform ongoing assessment and timely escalation as needed.
• Float to related units or overflow areas as needed to meet patient care demands, with appropriate orientation and supervision.
• Ensure accurate completion of documentation, admissions/discharges, and care plans in accordance with hospital policies.
