About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry at a hospital in Simi Valley, California. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on September 14, 2026. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care, monitoring patients on telemetry, interpreting cardiac rhythms, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare disciplines. The nurse will also be responsible for documenting patient status, updating care plans, ensuring patient safety, providing education, and participating in discharge planning.

Requirements

Active California registered nurse license (RN)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Graduation from an approved nursing program (RN)
Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts
Experience in a hospital setting; telemetry experience preferred
Eligible for a travel nursing assignment and able to adapt to new units and teams

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients using the nursing process.
Monitor patients on telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to alarms, and administer medications as ordered.
Supervise and direct activities of diverse nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines.
Document patient status, implement and update care plans, and communicate changes to the care team.
Ensure patient safety and quality of care, provide patient and family education, and participate in discharge planning as appropriate.
