About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in OB/GYN in Glendale, California. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026. The role involves delivering coordinated perinatal and obstetric nursing care within a structured, multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting. The position guarantees 36 hours per week on the night shift (3x12s) from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Experience with the Epic EMR system is required.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California or state of practice
- Minimum of two years of recent nursing experience in OB/GYN, maternity, or acute care settings
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to work in a hospital setting, including night shifts
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Acute care/OB-GYN experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for OB/GYN patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate treatments and ensure a safe, healing environment
- Supervise and coordinate activities of various levels of nursing staff; delegate appropriately
- Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education and teaching
- Document all care and interventions in the electronic health record (EPIC)
