About The Position

This is a travel assignment for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in OB/GYN, working in a home-based hospice setting in Los Angeles, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a night shift basis (3x12-hour shifts). The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care, collecting data, developing and implementing care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, educating patients and families, and ensuring proper documentation.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor
Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor
EPIC experience required
At least two years of recent nursing experience in the field
Ability to work in a home healthcare/hospice setting
Strong critical thinking and supervisory skills

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, and determine diagnoses and care needs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care; coordinate care delivery with other disciplines.
Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide a safe, healing, and compassionate environment.
Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care, and delegate tasks as appropriate to the care team.
Ensure proper documentation and use of health information systems to track progress and outcomes.
