About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in OB/GYN in Los Angeles, California. The role is in a home healthcare - hospice setting, focusing on providing coordinated nursing care for obstetric and gynecologic patients who are receiving hospice or palliative services. The assignment is for a 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week, working night shifts in 3x12-hour blocks.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of assignment (California)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) as appropriate per policy
Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per policy
EPIC EMR experience required
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the field
Ability to work in a home healthcare – hospice setting in the Los Angeles area

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for OB/GYN patients in a home hospice setting, following established standards and the nursing process.
Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, diagnose care issues, and develop an execution plan to achieve outcomes.
Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; delegate duties and coordinate with the health care team.
Collaborate with families and treatment teams; provide education to patients and family members; participate in discharge planning for continuity of care.
