About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in the OB/GYN department in Boston, MA. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/07/2026, with guaranteed 40 hours per week and 10-hour shifts. The RN will provide care in an OB/GYN department that encompasses antenatal and prenatal services, gynecologic procedures, oncology, reproductive endocrinology, and maternal-fetal medicine, along with general gynecology. The role supports nursing assessment, treatment planning, interventions, and coordination of care for patients and their families in outpatient OB/GYN and related areas.

Requirements

Active MA RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate required
2+ years of outpatient OB/GYN experience, including conscious sedation and termination services
Ability to work in outpatient OB/GYN and related care settings; strong assessment and coordination skills

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans for OB/GYN patients and their families.
Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer prescribed medications, and support analgesia/monitoring needs, including conscious sedation when required.
Assist with gynecologic procedures and provide pre- and post-procedure care in relevant units, with attention to patient safety and comfort.
Provide triage, patient education, and discharge planning; coordinate care across prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care pathways.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and support staff to ensure timely communication and continuity of care; document care activities according to policy and regulatory standards.
