Travel Registered Nurse OB GYN Job
About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in OB/GYN in Borger, Texas. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 08/24/2026, and involves working night shifts from 7p to 7a, three 12-hour shifts per week. The role is situated in a hospital setting and requires providing comprehensive care for obstetric patients and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. The position focuses on delivering safe, evidence-based care, monitoring patient status, administering medications, assisting with procedures, supporting newborn care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Ability to provide care for OB/L&D patients from prepartum to postpartum
- Availability to work the night shift (7p–7a) in a hospital setting
- Willingness to participate in a travel/temporary assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; accurate and timely documentation
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for obstetric patients and newborns across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer prescribed meds and therapies, and document responses to treatment
- Assist with labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum procedures; support newborn care in the OB/L&D setting
- Collaborate with obstetric team, physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, evidence-based care
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, lactation support, and discharge planning
- Maintain patient safety and comply with infection control practices and unit policies
