About The Position
This is a travel Registered Nurse position in OB/GYN, located in Boston, MA. It is a temporary assignment for a 13-week duration, starting on 08/31/2026. The role involves working 10-hour shifts with guaranteed 40 hours per week in a hospital-based OB/GYN department. The nurse will provide experienced inpatient and outpatient nursing care across prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic services.
Requirements
- Active MA RN license
- BLC, ACLS, and AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate required
- Minimum 2 years of outpatient OB/GYN experience, including conscious sedation and termination services
- Ability to work in a hospital OB/GYN department and to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for OB/GYN patients and develop care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
- Monitor fetal status using established protocols and respond to changes, documenting findings and communicating with the team.
- Provide care across antenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic services; assist with procedures and manage perioperative needs in OR/PACU as required.
- Administer medications, including analgesia and sedation per orders; monitor for adverse reactions and ensure safe prevention measures.
- Deliver patient and family education, coordinate discharge planning, and facilitate referrals to appropriate services.
