About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg assignment in Atlanta, GA, United States. The assignment is for 16 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care to mixed Med/Surg patients on a dedicated education unit with approximately 30 beds. The nurse will be responsible for assessing patients, monitoring vitals, administering medications, documenting in the electronic medical record, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop care plans. The position requires ensuring patient safety, infection control, and adherence to regulatory standards, as well as responding to changes in patient condition.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience; level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital experience preferred
BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week
Willingness to work on a 30-bed Med/Surg unit with a 5–6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
Eligible to work in the United States
Willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA for a 16-week assignment

Nice To Haves

Level 1 trauma or mid-large hospital experience preferred
ACLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to mixed Med/Surg patients on a ~30-bed unit with a 5–6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
Assess patients, monitor vitals, administer medications, and document in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff to develop and execute individualized care plans
Perform accurate handoffs during shift changes and communicate changes in patient status to the care team
Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to regulatory standards
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate to the charge nurse or physician as needed
