About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical unit with a focus on high-acuity care, including respiratory support, in Concord, New Hampshire. The assignment is for a 13-week engagement in a hospital setting, with a shift of 12-hour days. The role involves providing direct patient care, monitoring, administering medications, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, assisting with airway management, and maintaining accurate electronic health records. Local candidates are welcome.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or a Compact state; Nursys license verification required
- Active BLS; ACLS certification required prior to start; NHISS registration required
- 2+ years of Med-Surg and/or Telemetry nursing experience
- Local NH license required for submission; RTO (time off) must be included with submission
- Ability to work in a high-acuity Med-Surg/Respiratory Care setting
- Willingness to take a provided Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80% or higher
- May be required to float to other unit locations within the same system
Nice To Haves
- Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults on a high-acuity medical-surgical floor and respiratory care unit
- Monitor and document patient status, administer medications, and intervene per nursing assessment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans; assist with discharge planning as needed
- Assist with airway management and respiratory therapies as appropriate; respond to changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record; ensure medication safety and adherence to protocols
- Support patient and family education, comfort measures, and care transitions; may float to related units as needed
